"When I was asked to become a member of the YMCA Board of Managers, I quickly said 'yes'. I have been a part of the Charlotte Y since I was 7 years old. I played in a youth basketball league at the Central (now Dowd) YMCA and have been a member of the Y for my entire adult life. Now my two sons are playing on the same courts their father played on as a young boy.
Being a part of the development of Ayrsley and involved with the discussions that led to the establishment of the Steele Creek YMCA is also part of why I was delighted to become a board member."
