New Water Safety Policy and Swim Testing Procedure
The Siskey Family YMCA is proud to offer swimming programs for all members of your family, for any age and ability level, from infants to seniors. Our friendly and enthusiastic staff focus on safety, stroke development and personal growth for each swim level. Programs are offered throughout the week at convenient times for very busy families. You will be sure to find a class to accommodate your schedule. Aquatics has always been a big part of YMCA history and is a popular program here at Siskey. It can be a time for learning the basics, improving your skills and training for competition or just for the fun of it. Please contact us for more information on class times and availability.
Winter Swim Lesson Schedule
Siskey is starting a Masters Swim Team, a successful blend of fitness and competitive swimming for adults 18 and older. The regular structure workouts use techniques of interval training in an atmosphere of fun, fitness, friendship and participation. Individuals who find it difficult to stick with a self-imposed, keep-fit routine will find it easier to maintain a Masters Swimming Program.

Whether you are an experienced kayaker or just a beginner kayaker just looking for some pool time and perhaps a new paddling buddy, check out out roll sessions! The sessions are unstructured, providing plenty of time to practice at your own pace. There is no formal instruction. However, there are always people on hand who are happy to demonstrate and provide assistance.

Are you getting ready for your first job, summer employment, or just want to try something new? Lifeguarding is not only a fun job, but it is a great way to explore the employment options the field of aquatics offers. Lifeguards develop leadership, problem solving, decision making and communication skills that are valuable in many areas of life. Become certified through the Y's program that focuses on water rescue, safety, leadership development and personal growth. Upon completion, you will be qualified to work at an aquatics facility as a certified YMCA lifeguard. Registration for the November Session continues through November 5.
