Media Policy
If you work in the media, we hope you will find the YMCA of Greater Charlotte as a resource. With 16 branches and 2 camps in the greater Charlotte area, the Y truly is in touch with issues affecting each of our communities. For example, staff at our Simmons YMCA are actively working with east side community leaders on future planning and development. We also have staff experts in areas such as wellness, child care, sports, teen services, literacy, ESL, job training and social services.
Please contact Molly Thompson to be put in touch with an expert in any of these areas, or to do a story on the YMCA. We very often work with local media who are interested in video footage and photos in our facilities. Please use this same contact to gain permission to access our branches.
