Community Development Programs
Serving children and families through our three core program areas:
YMCA Community Social Workers provide intensive support to families in crisis throughout the Charlotte area through our Strengthening Families Program.
Starfish Academy provides a literacy program in a summer day camp setting, as well as in an afterschool program for first and second graders to help them achieve academic success.
ESL (English as a Second Language) classes for non-English speaking adults give them the tools necessary to communicate their needs and access services and opportunities in the community.
